The Generalitat of Catalonia has reached an agreement with the French Railways and its subsidiary VIIA to build and operate a railway highway terminal in the Port of Barcelona that, open to any operator, will offer daily capacity for eight convoys that transport unaccompanied trailers, to and from France and central and northern Europe.
