Update 3: International disruptions on railway lines of south coast of France due to heavy rainfall

Update as of 29 October 2026:

Arles – Miramas section has been re-opened to traffic, subject to a temporary speed restriction of 10 km/h. The restriction is expected to be lifted within the next 2–3 days.

Normal operations are gradually being restored on the Miramas–Lavalduc, Lavalduc–L’Estaque and Lavalduc–Fos-sur-Mer sections. Remaining speed restrictions are expected to be lifted within the next 2–3 days.

Second track between Berre – Miramas is still in a critical condition. Operation is only possible on one track for both directions. Available capacity is 1 freight train/hour/direction, westbound trains (Marseille – Miramas) must be coordinated through the Marseille local traffic control centre. According to current estimates, the restoration of the second track is expected to take a further 4–5 weeks.
