On 10 October 2026 in the morning a freight train derailed at Meja railway station near Rijeka. Due to the significant damage occurred, rail traffic to Rijeka is completely suspended. Passenger traffic is replaced by buses. Estimation on the date of traffic reopening will be provided soon.
